Thanks a lot CaneBrake. Well the thing I'm not too crazy about with the Series 80 is the firing safety pin, even if it ends up not affecting the trigger pull, it's added parts prone to breaking in my opinion, then I'm not the 1911 expert
The XSE seems like a great choice and I love the markings on it. I'm going to keep an eye out on gunbroker for XSEs and Special Combat Government (mostly for epic looks, parts can be changed down the road if needed). I'll let you know guys when I buy something, it won't be just now because I'm travelling atm
Also to be honest, I was surprised at how many people are recommending SS pistols when it seems that people really prefer blue carbon steels? Also if Carbon Steel isn't blued, is it more prone to rust if it's just given a chrome finish?

I like the front serrations as they allow me to perform way cool moves like Steven Segal does in his movies.

The firing pin will not break under normal conditions. The firing pin plunger (the part that blocks the movement of the firing pin) is the part that normally gets messed up when people install an adjustable trigger and do not have the adjustment correct. Keep it original and don't play with the overtravel, and you should be fine.

As for Mags...
A lot of folks like Tripp - I like Wilson Combat and Metalform for competition - For 10 rounders I uses Chip McCormick's

Now for carry(I carry a Commander and a Les Baer C7), I use Novaks because they're good and they're blued.
