Default Caspian Slides/Recievers?

I've been looking at Caspians website and I am thinking about ordering a custom slide, and maybe a custom matching reciever. Anyone have any advice on what to options to get. I have already decided on serrations and what not but the more technical options I am less familiar with. I am defiantly not a huge gun expert merely an enthusiast.

I am thinking
Stainless Steel Commander Slide w/
Bevel Package
Serrated Flat Top
Standard Serrations
Front Cocking Serrations
Ball Radius
and the c wreath on either side..

whats the benifits or problems with series 80 or 70 cut and the lowering of the ejection port?

You might. Check out Foster. They are the parent company of Caspian and sell cosmetic blemished slides and frames for less. Several guys I've competed against have built guns on these. Many of the helms disappear in the build process.

Lowering the ejection port? No problems. Benefit is the ejection of shells is perhaps better than leaving it standard.

Series 70? Some smiths have seen problems with the collett barrel bushing. Go solid.

Series 80? More parts to give problems if adjusted incorrectly. (and a lot of people put the adjustable trigger in a series 80 1911 and adjust incorrectly that the serie 80 firing pin plunger does not rise enough for the firing pin to clear cleanly).
