Buying a gun
I'm going to buy a RIA 1911 45 two tone tactical and just wondering if this a good purchase or not

Some on here like the RIA very much, others not so much. I don't have experience with one.
Be careful how much you spend on a RIA, as with any gun purchase.

A lot of people talk smack about budget guns. I, however, do not. I got the SA mil spec because that's what I wanted.
High standard, made by the same company as RIA I believe, is very nice.
RIA has been getting a lot of love lately by owners, many of them seem to be very happy with their guns.
Advice- check out some online auction sites to see the going rate and make sure your getting it at a good price.
You should be pretty happy with it, but I'm no expert, this is my opinion.

Some of the older RIA's seemed to have reliability issues.
It appears that lately they have been getting better.

I looked at it yesterday, that's their buy now price in a new GI. Makes me want to get one bad timing though.

These guys are the way to go. Rias for the money are great pistols. ATI and Metro Arms are also Filipino guns that are great guns for the money.
