Default Browning1911-22

Bought a Browning 1911-22 Compact last weekend; shot the crap out of it the night before last and it worked super. Dang accurate little dude, well considering I was the shooter . The only malfunctions were due to old nasty ammo I was trying to burn up, but all the new stuff shot and cycled flawlessly.

Default Browning 1911-380

Don't know if you have seen the Browning web site but in January they are going to bring out a .380 on the same frame. That will be the next 1911 that I buy, It will give me a pair of these smaller frame 1911's. As much fun as the 22 is to shoot, I cant wait to get my hands on one.

Good info. I bought this for my wife and daughter, I hope to get them some professional training and then a CCP. The .380 might be a good caliber for them.

So, on this 1911-22 - the front sight is black, like the rest of the gun; I'd like to make it standout, likely white. Any suggestions?

Default paint front sight

I painted the front blade with a small brush. Yellow , florescent Orange, or White.I also saw where a guy duped a tooth pick in paint and put a dot of paint on each side of the rear sight. Just clean all the surface you are going to paint, so the paint sticks.

The paint fishermen use on jigheads is great for this. Nail polish is also an option.
