3,000 rds. c'mon man that is the 1st I've ever heard of that!!! Ain't no way. I will repeat what I said before. With good quality mags it should run right out of the box. Sometimes a few shots with different mags may be required to find the right ones but it should run right out of the box. If not get on the phone and get it fixed. Billt didn't know you were here.

Yeah, ok. Ya'll have got me. But, I SWEAR that's what the Wilson guy said on the TV ep. Problem is, I can't find it, and the episode I think it is shows as "no longer available" on the downrange tv website.

I guess that's what I get for parroting something off the top of my head. If I see the episode again, I'll post it. The reason it sticks in my head is that I too thought it sounded crazy. But given the price of their guns it wasn't totally unbelievable.

Until I run across it, I'll have to defer that point. Research on the Wilson site states different levels of test firing, however the highest number I found was 108 rounds minimum. In light of the PM'd reps reply, regardless of what the show says I'll just be "defending my honor" at this point

I still stand behind my other comments, and still agree w/billt's assessment. I have shot many 1911's, and currently own two. Both required some level of "break-in". The all steel gun requiring considerably more than the aluminum framed one. For the reasons he stated.

I've got a Kimber and I put about 150 to 200 rounds through it when I got it, I didnt have Any problems then or now. It's one of the most accurate pistols I've ever shot and I'd love to own a whole safe full of them.
