Default Brand New Remington 1911

I just bought and picked up today a brand new Remington 1911 R1S. It's completely stock although I do got some custom grips on order for it. This is my very first 1911.

That is a nice looking 1911. They had one at my LGS. If I had the funds I would have bought it.

Thanks for all replies and yes it is a beauty. I shot 100 rounds through it today and my dad shot 50. My aim is much better than with any other firearm I've used. It is my new favorite gun, even beats my Glock. The action is buttery smooth and the recoil is no where near as snappy. I'm very pleased with it. I got some new grips already ordered. I will post new pics once I get them installed.

Biker nice one! i looked at that one last week and really was liking it a lot, but ended up buying the R1 Enhanced instead. mine is very accurate and seems very well built. i am very pleased with my decision to buy it. now if they would offer the R1 Enhanced in S/S like yours. that would be awesome! enjoy it.

yeah I took mine to the range Saturday is is very accurate, more so then any other firearm I've shot. Had a blast with it, although it was a pain to get it clean afterwards. The stainless really shows the gun powder, especially after putting 150 rounds through it. I picked mine up for $690 before tax, $740 after tax. I also picked up a 3rd mag (stainless steel 8 round) for $26 after tax. I think it was well worth it though as it was just a pure pleasure to shoot.
