Bomar type sight blade
I have an Ithaca 1911with a Bomar type adjustable rear sight. It has Micro in script on side of it. I have lost the blade with sight notch. It appears to be 1mm x18 mm app. Front sight app. 4 mm wide. Anyone have ideas on where to get replacement part. Thanks Also, I don't see what is supposed... to hold the blade in..?

I don't think I'll be much help. Might try calling Ithaca and/or Bomar.

Is it a new Ithaca build or a M1911A1?

It is 1943 Ithaca 1911 m1a with aftermarket sights. I do remember seeing some blades that I thought would work some time back, but have not been able to find again. I think these would be common if I find right supplier.

It's staked to the slide.

Micro Sight Company quit making gunsights probably 30 years ago?
Try Numrich for a sight blade, and keep an eye on the auction sites
(including ebay) for a complete replacement. From what I can
find, the Micro used a Novak cut, and there are some current manufactured
adjustable rear sights that will fit that cut. Might be easier in the long run
to replace the whole sight with a new one.

Are you talking about the blade for the rear sight?
Might I suggest that you take a look at replacing the rear sight?
It is not as inexpensive as you want to go, but could be well worth it.
If you are missing the blade for the rear sight, is it possible that some other small piece is missing as well?
