Default Bobtail 1911

Anyone have experiance with having a 1911 Bobtailed? I've got an early model Kimber Pro Carry I'm thinking about. Any Ideas? Ct.

I had a Dan Wesson Commander Bobtail. It's the only 1911 I miss.

I have two bobs, a DW 10mm, and a Ed Brown Kobra Carry.
I don't think you will get either.
IWB or shoulder rig, both work as designed.

I have a DW VBOB, and the DW CBOB. There is a different feel to the bobtail, and I like it. I also have a pre-series II Kimber that will likely be bobtailed by summer's end. It's a personal preference thing, thus, I'd suggest getting your hands on one first, and see how you like the feel of it, before you have the work done.
