Received this from my father for my 30th birthday...heading to the range first thing tomorrow

I have not and I am very excited....we always talked about when we got a 1911 it would be colt and he surprised me this morning....I was speechless

A colt feels like no other 1911, there very nice and you will be very pleased. You can feel the quality, i wish i never got rid of mine. That first shot will wow you

That's one fine piece there jyack45!

Just remember that's a target pistol. You should shoot standard load 230 gr ball ammo.

Before you try any hotter loads be sure to change out the recoil spring. And there's no need to run HP's through a Gold Cup.

Some mild lead SWCs are also nice to shoot in a target 1911.
