I have carried 2 defender-sized pistols and wasn't able to keep from limp-wristing them. I won't blame the pistols. On the other hand, the commander size is the best of all worlds. I recall a couple of years ago I couldn't understand why peple would prefer that "big" commander when they could have the "teeny" defender. Well, the Ultra/Defender is not really the small and the Pro/Commander is not that big.

I have a bobtail commander as next on my list...

Check with the company your going to be working with because they might not allow a .45 to be carried. Many companies out there only allow 9mm or .40 s&w. While most and myself included dont agree with it the people who wrights the checks makes the rules. Once you been there awhile you can try to get them to see the light. Good luck

right, i hear that.. Most places I've called wont give me info till an interview, you'd think they'd want you to have a gun before you start..

Get what ever you can shoot well. Just about anybody than can shoot well with a 1911 will find a Kimber is a good choice.

Who knows.. basically it will come down to whats being sold when i have the cash. I'm sure I'll get something nice.

I wouldn't waste my money on a box for a gun I was going to carry and it takes up too much room in a safe to store it. Looks good for marketing though.
