The 92 is a great platform and 9 mm is a whole lot cheaper to practice with than .45 ACP.
From a SHTF perspective, I advocate having owning guns in all available calibers because you simply don't know what will be available so in my book 1 45 ACP and 1 9 mm is better than 2 45's.
While budget considerations ARE real for all of us, our sport is not always about "even money". It's about acquiring your wants/needs is a manner that tugs on the heart strings and spurs YOUR passion for the sport.
