It's amazing, he actually bought a gun!

Nice, Dave. Is that three Springers for you now? I know about the XD and the long-slide beauty, and now the new one.....is that it? Is there anything you want to tell us?

Sounds like he's sprung on the Springers, indeed, even bought one new.

Yup, 3 Springers and the Caspian/Foster which will host the ,460 kit. I was in the PX today after lunch so I wandered over to the new gun counter. What did I see on the shelf but a beautiful Dan Wesson VBOB - pricey though at $1695. I'm pretty well done for now as I have everything I need and more importantly - everything I want at the moment. (yeah, I know - go ahead and laugh)...

That'll change.

I love those Dan Wessons. I should have gotten a CBOB when they were $900.

That is one nice pistol. I like the OD green. How long before you trade it?

Broke it down and cleaned it last night and made the only change necessary - removed the stock Springer MSH (has the goofy lock) and put in a black anodized aluminum one I had in the parts box. The only beef I have with Springer 1911s is the stock MSH does not use standard mainsprings so they must go...
