So the difference between the Valor and Guardian are the Valor has a Stainless frame and the Guardian has an alloy frame? I think I am right.....but if you look at the weight of the two, the Valor weights 2.2 lbs. and the Guardian is 1.8 lbs. not much difference when you consider stainless vs. alloy frames. I thought you would more of a weight savings?

Actually, DW was making them for a number of years before the CZ buyout. From everything I've read the CZ purchase has given them a solid financial footing for the first time in forever. Their 1911s are top shelf. Common opinion puts them just below the Baers & Browns, in quality. Their customer service guy, Keith, is active on at least one 1911 forum and is great to deal with. I have 2 DW 1911s, a CCO and a PM7-40. I'd buy another in a heartbeat.

Liberals are constantly telling us about the poor and oppressed in this country. With that in mind, why do they feel the need to keep importing poor people from other countries?

Overkill, I see you are just down the mountain from me. Where did you find a DW 1911 I have never seen one.

The CCO my wife bought NIB at Impact, Ogden. There's a thread on it here somewhere. Ironically, the only other DW I've come across was the PM7-40. It was a trade-in at Impact. The sales guy called my attention to it early on and it never made it to the display case.
