You are correct. I misspoke when I used the word "assembled".

at least you are realistic about it all. for the price kimber is the right way to go. they make very nice 1911 and for the price and how it all comes it just cant be beat. i have a CDP and wouldnt trade it for anything. by far my favorite weapon. ppl will get something less and try to mod it all up but by the time you do all that you bought the kimber and then some. just go to kimbers website the models are just different preffrences.

i have thought about getting another pistol but there is not i like may just end up getting a full size all steel kimber instead. lol

nighthawks very nice
but wilson, nighthawk, wesson, les bear are all custom made weapons and start at 2500. not under 1k. kimber is a manufactered weapon and is the best manu. you can get.

i event fired a wilson and my groups werent any better and the only real difference was the wilson felt like a caddy and my kimber a sports car. either way i would by two kimbers before i got one of those others for the same price.

Default American made 1911

My 1911 .45 is a Colt GCMN stainless it is an excellent pistol, accurate and reliable.

My .40 S&W is a P40L Tanfoglio.(had to do that)

My 1911 9mm is an STI Ranger 11 very impressive ie. fit, finish & over all quality.

I had narrowed my choice down to a Kimber pro carry 11 and the STI,and went with the STI.

At this time if I were going to add to my 1911s it would be another made in Texas STI.
