I like the look you got there axxe. If you do coat it and have a cheap toaster oven, I really like Norrels Moly Resin. I found it to be pretty durable and forgiving as far as getting good even coating out of it. I like the oven baked finish because I'm too impatient for Duracoat to fully cure (it's a good product though).
Anyway, it looks good.

thanks Doc. doing a coating of some sort is always an option. right now, the more i look at it, the more i am liking how it turned out. it wasn't the finish i originally was trying for, but sometimes you accidently find out new things and like them.

It looks like what my barrel on my BP looks like. Nothing better than a gun with character. But I liked the chrome, did I say that already. I like shiny. Oh I saw the most beautiful colt python stainless the other day, never saw anything shine so pretty. I just couldn't bring myself to pay that much.

a Colt Python in stainless steel would be sweet! Python's in blue are just as nice though. wouldn't matter which finish, as i would be happy with either one.

Ya done good axxe!
I like the change and it looks like a great job!
Now find you some Sambar Stags or Rattler hides for the stocks! (That's what I'd do, YMMV)

I saw one yesterday just like yours before you removed the Crome, I wanted to buy it but the show was in Indiana and me from Kentucky couldn't buy it. But while I was there looking at it for about the 5th time another guy from Ky. Was being told he couldn't trade his pistol and I bought it. Why I don't know I just had to buy something I guess.
