update on the progress so far. after work, i bead blasted the frame, slide, MSH and grip safety again. after getting home i started polishing with scotchbrites and sandpaper. the goal is more a matte black finish when done. might try blueing tonight. gotta get my pizza out of the oven first, before i start heating gun parts!
