Default For all you Dan Wesson guys, help me.

I have been looking to purchase a dan wesson guardian 9mm for some time now. I received an offer to purchase an unfired NIB blem from the orginal owner. He wants 1k. Is this a good deal? I will be finding out what the blem is but just wanted to hear your general opinions about second owned dan wessons and blems.

The blemished models are just fine. It could and usually is something as insignificant as a serial # out of place. You won't even notice it. If you don't get it pleae let me know so I can get it. What a deal, jump all over it please. You won't regret it.

Id say great deal for a blem, the blem guardians I found were 1250. As long as he kept good care of it id jump on it.

Like has been said already, DW blems are usually very minor, like a number of the SN stamped slightly out of place,or a very very small flaw in the finish. Usually things the QC of other companies wouldn't even bat an eye at giving the Okie dokie to and sending it out as new,non-blem.

If you don't buy it, then post the specifics here and we will.

from what i have seen of the DW 1911's at my LGS, IMO, even if i had to totally refinish the pistol it would still be worth that asking price!

The Blems also carry no warranty, but they are solid guns...roll the dice!

Here is the blem. The frame has a couple minor chips where it meets the msh. I will be able to handle it before I buy it to ensure it is nothing else.

False, they carry a full warranty for function.

They do not warranty blems for finish or other cosmetic issues though.
