I refuse to accept someone is highly knowledgeable about a platform in which they don't know the typical base price.

Axe, Hoss, and Cane you guys were truly more respectful than i woould have been in that situation. I mean damn all Cane asked was if Hogue was the only grips he would consider and he busts off with snippy lil' comments. Somebody needs to take the youngster out to the wood shed. Lol

You should really calm down man, you came to use for advice. Alot of these guys such as Cane and Hoss have more firearms knowledge and experience in their pinkie fingers than any of us could wish for.

You really need some thick skin around here, a touch guy will get you no where but gone. So have some respect for these people because they can really save your butt one day, they've saved mine quite a few times already.

With that aside Mr itchytrigger, I am on the same path as you are. I recently picked up a GI Rock Island Armory 1911a1 cheap knowing that I am going to be adding a lot of my own upgrades to make it 100% mine.

So far I've added ergo grips with a pierce insert, strike industries screws and a s&w combat hammer. I have a beavertail and adjustable trigger coming as well. Once I get it all in everything except the frame will get a nice coat of OD green duracoat to match the grips.

Take a step back, just listen for now. They will help guide you in the areas you aren't sure

Wow lol, take the advice from these guys itchy, they are all great guys and you can learn a lot from them as long as your willing to take there advice, respect goes a long way with these guys on here, you may be well educated with firearms but there is always someone more educated, not trying to be an ass but don't ask for advice if your not gonna take it with respect, just start over and try it again.

Itchy - you're 21. What you'll find out is that the older you get - the more you find out what you don't know. The earlier you start - the sooner you'll learn more information.
