Default Added a new Dan Wesson to the stable....

Sorry no pics yet - promise I will post some by this weekend.
But picked up a Guardian 9mm yesterday. Extremely hard to find in these parts but found a store that had 1 and I snagged it.

When looking at it (and told him I wanted it) he went looking for the case it comes with and actually found that he had 2 (the display one & also one in the case that was still wrapped in plastic). The one still in the case had a bit lighter colored shade to the wood grips (I guess from folks with oily hands handling the display one? - not sure) - but I snagged the unopened one.

It is completly disassembled at home right now. Will go over everything and oil it liberally. It is very, very tightly fit - I can say that. I actually had to use the bushing wrench that came with it to remove the barrel bushing. I have never had to do that before on any of my other 1911's (even my Ed Brown).
Can't wait to shoot it - also probably this weekend.

Will update with pics & range report.
But for now I am ..... pumped!!!!

Congrats! I love my Dan Wesson CCO. You're right about the tight fit, I had the same experience. Mine loosened up a bit after about 200 rounds. Now I can get the barrel bushing off without the wrench, but still very tight. Enjoy your new gun! Looking forward to an update after you've taken it to the range.

I picked up my DW Guardian about 10 days ago -- it's a gorgeous gun, excellent hand fell, solid construction. Between the weather, business travel and getting sick I've yet had her to the range and it's driving me nuts!!

That is one drop dead gorgeous Guardian!

I'm really warming up to the bobbed 1911s.

Get her dirty and then show us the dirty pictures. (range report)
