| 50th birthday present to myself!
Turning 50 and financially sound, looking for opinions on 1911's. Wanting a higher end model than my Kimber Custom II.
I've been looking at Sig Scorpion. What do you all think? I know this is a loaded question so be gentle and play nice!
Thanks |

Happy birthday and I haven't seen a sig 1911 I don't like. Black AND stainless has a classy look to me.

I just traded off my last two Kimbers, bought Colts, why pay more to IMHO get anything that would add anything to it's ability to shoot.

My choice would be the Les Baer BOSS 45. __________________ "Society’s abuse, misuse, or lack of use of its rights will not impinge upon my rights." |

losack, I love my Sig Scorpion Carry! Just love it! Everything already on it not much to add or say about it.
Here's the range report from this sight I posted shortly after I bought mine.

This would be my choice for CCW;
The Colt 21st Century Wiley Clapp Commander
- Suggested Retail $1379
- Series '70 style action with no firing pin safety and improved trigger pull
- Alloy receiver for a light pistol that carries easy
- Original style small safety, slide lock and magazine catch, no extensions
- Front & rear slide serrations
- Long black trigger, flat S&A mainspring housing
- Colt's new beavertail grip safety for comfort in long shooting sessions
- Special Novak sights – extra-wide notch and bead front for any-light shooting
- Tactical Oval grips with forward taper and fingerprint checkering
- Pete Single 25 lpi checkering on the pistol's front-strap
- Special factory serial number run
