If it allows using a 1911 to hunt whitetail deer, then hell yes, I need/want one.
Of course, that means I must convince my wife that a 5" 1911 is a necessary purchase.

Does it really offer an advantage over the 10mm on the 1911 platform?
Having owned four 10mm's in the 90s, the ballistics are no where close; the 460 leaves the 10mm in the dust. How? LESS recoil, MORE power, easily qualifies as a hunting round, and makes everyone at the range jealous! I have three 1911s, and plan (hope) to buy the Clark conversion for each of them. I am THAT sold on it.

Order from Clarks': it will drop right in, the weapon already handles the pressure and it's going to run like a champ. From experience.

Nope, his conversion is quite the trollop! Bear had it for a while and then it went to Dave for some pin bashing.

Why do you think I want one?? If I get this thing running by deer season it will be a successful season.
