460 is not recommended for my PT-1911 but
I got the kit for it any ways, to me it seems like there are some fools out there loading to hot for the 460 or do not know what they are doing. I understand that of all the kits out there that are in the PT-1911 only 3 of them have had a problem. So now it has been taken off the recommendation list. I would like to hear from as many successful PT-1911 460 Rowland conversion guys as possible, because I will be carrying the gun for big game protection in Alaska, I am tired of carrying 6-7lbs of iron with me.

I would recommend that you change the hammer.
The internal lock weakens the structure of the hammer.

I would recommend that you find a donor gun that's on the Clark Custom Guns' approved list.
They make that list for a reason.
Maybe the engineer in me but I'm just sayin'.

I don't think you will be hearing from many, if any. As stated above, there is a reason it is not on the approved list.

Please take pics of the hammer (out of the gun) and the slide near the disconnector slot.
I'm curious. Thanks.
