Damn It - Now you are getting out of hand!

YOU are going to have to write my get out of jail free speech to my significant other and explain to her why I am messing with a perfectly good 1911, when we already own 5 of them... LOL

A new "460 Rowland Project" thread sure sounds good!

Kind of rolls off the lips dripping with testosterone.

I'm working on the "GOOJ speech's" 1st draft as you read this!

Push, push, twist, twist.....

Cheap shot using the SO card!

Man-Up JD, this is research in the quest of the 1911 HOLY GRAIL!

LMAO!!

I actually just threw that out there to stall. I already talked to her about it and she couldn't care less. She loves my little firearms projects because she gets to sit and ask questions about what things do and how they work. I have a VERY understanding Fiancee' when it comes to all things firearms related....

I have to buy a scope for Mjolnir before I do anything, but hell yeah, I will undertake this build project and post the before, during and after reports. It sounds like fun - and I am most interested in what I can turn out for a little cash.

The project needs a name though. I name all my builds, usually with a reference to Norse Mythology, so the new pistol project needs a name and NOTHING can happen for that is settled....*thinking*

Nice - The UberWolf that bit Tyr's hand off after being allowed to be chained. I like that a lot. Excellent choice....

We could definitely have a winner there...

Gram. Sigfried's sword that he used to kill Fafnir. Sigfried was given this sword by his father, Sigmund, who got it from a tree that Odin had stuck it into. Sigmund was the only person that was able to pull the sword from the tree.

This story is what later morphed into the story of King Arthur and Excalibur.

I actually had to do a little searching on this one. My knowledge of Norse writings, isn't as strong as my knowledge of Greek and Roman writings. I was looking for the Norse equivalent of Charon's boat, but couldn't come up with anything.

I like that one too. Damn it. There is just so much cool stuff in Norse and Greek Mythos.

That Charon idea is really good though - a ticket straight to hell, I definitely like the sound of that.

We might have to put this up to a polling vote and get some input....

I could have sworn that there was a name for his boat, but I couldn't find anything on the net about it.

I was doing the same thing. I could have sworn reading somewhere in my real books on Mythology that he had a name for the boat as well, but I couldn't find it. I definitely like that idea though, excellent try Matt.

I found a Norse Weapon that was allegedly as poweful as Mjolnir, but was owned at one point by Frey.

"Laevateinn"

I like the idea behind it being able to only choose who it serves, ties in nicely to the idea of it being MY Pistol....

What do you think?

I was also looking to see if Loki had any sort of weapons. Didn't come up with anything there either.
