That sucks, I think I would keep my eyes shut and just wait later day. My best friend bought a hi point for his ex-mother-in-law, but he also hated her. Don't let the hi point distract you, just keep focused on the object at hand

Default John M. Browning's 1911 , Modified

Different designers and manufacturers have taken the 100 year old 1911 design and modified it in many ways and some of which even Mr. Browning would likely approve of...Ambi safeties, hammers and grip safeties that don't bite the web of the thumb, better and easier trigger pull, tighter slide to frame clearances , better sights and on and on but....

That 1911 and the .45APC cartridge were made for each other and are very hard to beat...Everybody to their own notion, like the old lady that kissed the cow....I'll stick to the original configuration and caliber.

Browning INVENTED the 1911 and sold the patent rights to Colt.

They just haven't produced them themselves for a long time.

The M16 was made AROUND the 5.56x45....why do they make ar's of all different calibers now? some even take 7.62x39 which in my mind is almost blasphemy....but still...if it can be done...it will be done.

John Moses Browning himself thought the .45 was too much for any average shooter...and that his Hi-Power was everything the 1911 should've been...
