Can anyone here recommend a .22 conversion kit for Springfield Armory 1911 (4" barrel). Thanks all.

Buy a dedicated 1911-22.

You will be much happier.

At the cost of a kit , you've got a good point.

Those kits are to pricey for what you get

the kits for 1911s dont work very well. ive been through them all cept the marvel. the worst was the kimber.

i ended up getting a dedicated 1911-22

the only kit that ive had that actually works is the sig p22x kit. i use it on my p220.

I had the same idea, but went with the GSG 1911 22. It was about the same price as the cheaper kits, and I got a complete 1911. It works well, and I have no complaints. The beat part is, when I go out to play, I can have both, not 45 or 22.
Hope this helps.

+1 on the GSG. It's a great gun for less than most conversion kits, plus no tear down time.
