DefaultThe 2011 Centennial Edition?? Anyone??

So, we all know that the greatest pistol ever made has already passed it's 100th year anniversary of craftsmanship.

Next year will be 100 years since it was inducted into military history, become a benchmark & measuring stick to every other semi automatic pistol ever to be produced.

Next year.....

Next year??

With time to save some cash, just in case....

Does anyone know if any of the quality shops are producing a 2011 Anniversary Edition 1911??

As I am the head Nighthawk rep here, I have contacted them and am waiting a response.

Cane - Anything from Colt?

Anyone heard ANYTHING??

Links would be a plus......

I haven't heard a peep from anyone and SHOT has not surfaced any rumors as of now.

I guess I need to be proactive.

I'm on it!

Good catch JD. Maybe we'll be in better financial shape and I'll be able to pick something special up.

Maybe we can all pitch in, buy one, and Stanley Cup it among the contributing members.

My idea was to get an inside track on an official 100th Edition and give everyone some time to save if they are interested.

I am hoping for something TRULY worthy of the name, the history and the heritage. Even if it's just a Colt.

Ya'll can have the 2011 Sp. Edition 1911's.
I'll be keeping my eyes open for the slightly used 2010's
There will probly be a lot of guys selling to fund purchases of the new special editions.

Depending on what we find out Gate, I might be one of those guys.

While the Nighthawks will probably be safe, you never know about the rest of the arsenal.

I would sure love to get a top notch, Larry Vickers ( or other ) approved 1911 that is built for speed and getting the job done. *drools*
