Default1952 38 super frame ??

Can anybody help identify this frame mod ? I just bought this from my boss... it came as a ziplock bag full of parts. It needs a new ejector. What model had this frame dust cover lug at the end ? Ive looked around on the web and cant find another like it. Its a .38 super #106906. My boss said a guy at the range recognized it and said maybe it was shop custom piece ? Im dying to know. Help ?
