This is an original Colt 1911 Black Army mfg1918. Notice the United States Property stamped on the frame below the slide. There'a also the inspector's stamp just above the magazine release. The ivories are for display. The original diamond checkered grips are in the display case. Also included is the takedown tool, lanyard and two-tone mags with original 1918 field manual.

Gunsmoke, now that's a very nice looking 1911!

the ivory grips really set it off too.

Here is my 1918 replaced hammer, slide stop, safety, slide and grips as well as all internals National guard armorers rebuilt it and returned all the old parts to me. It's a shooter not a seller or Safe Queen.
