Based on the pics, what very little I know, and concurring with what the others have mentioned, I'd say this is a project gun pieced together from very old parts.

That age of Colt is not made of the same metal hardness of those today.

Polished feedramp, modified frame, sights, barrel was modified to accept semi-wad cutters, different hammer, and maybe some internal work.

Documentation goes a long way to adding value. Without documentation, that work could have been done by Bubba on his kitchen table.

If I was looking to purchase this, I would offer a very low figure.

That's what I did he got pissy and said 3 gun shops offered $1500 and I replied "then why are we talking"
