It has to be rock solid reliable almost like a glock.

I have a Kimber TLE and although I haven't put a lot of rounds through it, I'm very happy on how it performed so far.

We have a Ruger and a Remington, both have worked flawless!! There are so many 1911s out there, the bottom line is your opinion and not ours.

My vote would be a Colt !

With that said , I'm really enjoying the Ruger SR1911.

LB is a great choice and a top pick!
I own Ed Browns but would take a LB any day of the week. Was just looking at a LB in .38 Super yesterday at a LGS - would love to have it!

And this was what I was going to suggest as well. Since Glock the absolute pinnacle of reliability then the perfect solution would be for Glock to make a 1911 variant.
