Default 1911 triggers...

I was wondering if anyone made a trigger that allows for the adjustment of take up like they do for rifles? The pistol that I was looking to have this installed on is a Springfield full size "loaded" model. The trigger has a little bit of play in it and i have been searching for way to get rid of it. I hear that Chip McCormmick makes one, but I cant seem to track anything down. Any help would be much appreciated guys, thanks!

I was kind of wondering something similar. Does anyone make a non 1911 pistol with the 1911 style trigger?

Many vendors sell an oversize trigger with an adjustable bow that you can fit to your pistol. Brownells is where I get most of my 1911 stuff.

Goju, I know of no other platform that uses the non-hinged trigger of a 1911. Even my SAO Sig P229 has a hinged trigger...

Nowlin makes an oversize trigger that has takeup "tabs" to eliminate excess takeup. You have to fit it though.
