1911 Quick & General Price Guide
*Disclosure - I was really bored and curious
**I did a search on gunbroker for 1911s, buy it nows
*Please note that the price range is for basic manufacturing models
**The more bells and whistles on a particular gun the more $$$
*This is ment to give any beginner (like me) a quick reference list of 1911s

Intersting list, very helpful.
1 correction: Metro Arms American Classic II
Maybe add one more: STI Spartan, usually sells for $635, the rest of STI guns would go in the semi-custom category.

If I may, a $1100 Colt sent to Heirloom Precision to have it hand rubbed by Ted Yost or Jason Burton will/can result in a 10K$ heirloom that makes it's owner smile every time he takes it out to shoot!

From the STI site;
The Spartans are built for STI (to STI specifications and utilizing STI internals) in the Philippines by the STI division of Armscorp.

And might I add, all warranty work for the Spartans is done by STI and you get the best customer service in the industry.
