Default 1911 Quick & General Price Guide

*Disclosure - I was really bored and curious
**I did a search on gunbroker for 1911s, buy it nows
*Please note that the price range is for basic manufacturing models
**The more bells and whistles on a particular gun the more $$$
*This is ment to give any beginner (like me) a quick reference list of 1911s

$400
..........Rock Island Armory
..........American Tactical ATI
$450
..........Regent
..........Metro Arms American Classic II
$500
..........Citadel
..........Taurus PT
$550
..........Para Ordnance
..........Remington R1
$600
..........Taurus/ Remington (where most range at)
..........STI Spartan
$650
..........Desert Eagle
..........Spring Field
$700
..........Ruger SR
..........Sig Sauer
$750
..........Range Officer
..........R1 Enhanced
$800
..........Kimber
..........Smith & Wesson
$850
..........Colt 1991
..........Sig (where most range at)
$900
..........Kimber (where most range at)
..........Colt

I'll stop here... getting into semi-custom and full custom guns, the skys the limit
**Hope the helps one or two people out there**

Intersting list, very helpful.

1 correction: Metro Arms American Classic II

Maybe add one more: STI Spartan, usually sells for $635, the rest of STI guns would go in the semi-custom category.

Great job Buggz!

If I may, a $1100 Colt sent to Heirloom Precision to have it hand rubbed by Ted Yost or Jason Burton will/can result in a 10K$ heirloom that makes it's owner smile every time he takes it out to shoot!

From the STI site;
The Spartans are built for STI (to STI specifications and utilizing STI internals) in the Philippines by the STI division of Armscorp.

And might I add, all warranty work for the Spartans is done by STI and you get the best customer service in the industry.

Buggz, the list looks pretty good and should be of some help to those wanting a ballpark price on different 1911's.
