The pull though heavy, I estimate 10 lbs, is very smooth with a clean break. Much smoother than my Seecamp or Double Eagle and has a good feel to it. Plus it has repeat strike capability unlike Paras LDA. You have to handle one of these new Colts to appreciate it.

Sounds like they can run o.k., but most guys end up sticking a couple hundred bucks in them and a trip or two to the gunsmith, so I figured I might as well spend the money upfront on a Springer or a Colt. Kimber is in the running too, but the 1 year warranty is a minus.
Did you read the part about how the gun was reassembled but wouldn't "rack" properly? I'll lay money on it he had that spring in backwards, didn't have the closed end installed correctly. I haven't even shot mine yet but if it give me any trouble it's gone, not gonna keep a turd. Maybe next week I can get to the range and find out. Thanks again for the info.

For the money you can't beat the RIA 1911s made in the Philippines. Even my gunsmith was impressed by the build quality of these pistols. Let us know how it shoots.

For sure, yeah I've done a decent bit of research on the forum and couldn't find any negatives really. And I was looking for "cheap" but quality 1911 to get started. Haha I'm excited
