I'll be doing some similar work on my springer milspec. Going with a Wilson combat drop in beaver tail, extended thumb safety and slide release, commander hammer, grips (found some nice water buffalo bone grips on Ebay).

Somewhere in all that, I'm going to probably change the sights.

Waiting for my Brownell's 1911 catalog to come in, I figure they may carry different stuff than I find on midway's website. I did notice while browsing their site that they (Brownell's) seem a little more fond of packaging parts. So it's easier to find a group of different parts than just one single small part. That's something I ran into while searching for a mag release retainer.

Trip, order the MidwayUSA printed catalog as well. in the catalog, they group all the 1911 parts together by sections. Brownell's is a good 1911 catalog as well and they have a lot of parts that many other catalogs don't carry for the 1911's. personally i like both of them!

Trip, you might want to put that comment in the "You Might Be a Gun Nut" tread!
