Default 1911 help

What does thr vp marking on a colt mean, i had an xse and it had it on the trigger guard and thought it was a defect and sold it. What does it do to value i paid $874 and sold it for $1100

The marking is a colt mark meaning "verified proof", it indicates final factory inspection

Not a defect
Semper paratus.....virtute et armis
