What am I missing? Are you saying that both are considered bull barrels, but one is conical?

Wow! That sounds like there was a serious issue in the QC dept. Like the feed ramp was just not in the right place. I've just not heard much like that from them. Especially if it went back. I'd of dumped it like a hot rock too though.

Milspecs are a great no frills 1911, I broke my only buy colt 1911s rule and got one a while ago. I have to say it is the only 1911 i own that i feel no need to modify. Its great service tool.
