1911 Grips
With the variety of grips available (including the gorgeous ones from our own Sarge43), it's pretty easy to turn your 1911 into a fashion statement. Looks aside - what are your favorite grips for all-around shooting? I've got a box filled with grips of all types & materials but for GP shooting I have always preferred the plain Pachmayr wrap arounds. They allow for a stable, comfortable, non-slip hold and they just feel good to me. While I generally put on pretty grips for pictures - I shoot with these (just ordered a set for my latest):

I really like the hogue wrap arounds for shooting. They make the grip thicker, but they are quite comfortable.
I've never bought any specialized pimp grips, but I could get into that.

I used to do the "Pretty grips" on my 1911's, but have given that up. All of mine now wear Navidrex slimline Micarta (Brownells). I like the slim grips, and Micarta is almost indestructible.
For variety, some of mine are diamond pattern, and some standard checkered. They all arrive in basic black, but that gets too hot in the dez, so some have been painted with Aluma Hyde 2 in Coyote or Dez Tan.
I'll take pics later.

I have a set of houge grips and like them alot for shooting, but have switched them for some RAASCO grips made out of maricata, there OD green and are very durable and slip resistant so that means great for carry.

This is the pair that are currently on mine. I found them used/like new on another forum. I can't remember the manufacturer, but I don't think they're still made.
They're traditionally checkered with the double diamond, but they're smooth and incredibly slim.
Having gone through a bunch of grips over the years, these are my keepers for the Sistema.
