1911 Front Slide Serrations or Not
Front slide serrations on a 1911 slide don't appeal to me. What say you?

Seems like the rear serrations would be enough, right? Like isn't that where most folks grab the slide? Reminds me of the nipples on a Batman suit.

Maybe I'm just old, but to me, front serrations clutter up the clean look of the slide. I know that some folks like them and actually use them. I'm just curious about it.

If I have to double check or triple check if there is a round in the chamber after I load it, then what am I doing with a firearm in the first place?

They are very unappealing to me and seem kinda pointless. "Don't fix what ain't broke" in my opinion  .
