Everything is very tight. I have shot 160 rounds through her so far without any problems. 2" groups at 7 yds with Federal.

very nice indeed! you did an excellent job and should be very proud. i know i would be!

how would you rate the quality of the Caspian parts? reason is, Brownell's carries their frames and slides and the prices are very reasonable and i have been looking at doing something similar, but would like some real world feedback on the brand first.

I love the looks of her. I found these grips at a lgs and had to get them. At another lgs, one of the shop workers literally bowed to me because of it. I bought the caspian frame from brownells. I had to file the trigger and the trigger groove to fit. Everything else on the frame is great. I custom ordered the slide from caspian. It came out wonderful. There were some burs left in the firing pin hole, which with a toothpick, it came right out. The barrel is from storm lake, which I bought it with 90% of the parts from brownells. I did grind the grip safety to get it to fit in, but it isn't long enough to stop the trigger from moving back. Also the mainspring housing sticks out a tad, but I can grind that down to be flush with the bottom of the frame. I have all of the parts listed that I ordered if you would like it. I had to take her to a local gunsmith to put the sights in, and to fit the slide to the frame, which are both oversized. He worked over 15 hrs to get them to fit, which we quoted me 6 hrs at most.

Looks great! I bet the feeling of shooting something you built, is a very rewarding feeling.

Thank you! You bet it is. She is one of those that catches eyes, and puts a smile on my face when others drool over her. Hehe
