Default 1911 Build is done

Well I posted back in Aug 2010 that my brother in law and I were going to build a 1911 well it's done almost I will put the grips on when he brings it down in a couple weeks, turns out he did all the building I just bought all the parts this picture shows the gun with some Pachmyer grips he had lying around I bought a set of Altamont grips for it but they are back ordered and won't have them till next week, thats okay though he is coming down in August for a visit and he will bring it with him... but here's a picture, I'll post a couple more tomorrow

I wrote that comment a couple months back. I figured that I can buy a 1911 already built for less then what I paid to build one. I moved on from the 1911 build to assembling an AR 15 from a kit and stripped lower. It shoots really well and I now use it at work. I'm gearing up to build an AR 15 pistol from bare receivers.

A tuned 1911 is just very satisfying, nice.

It's done and it's mine... made the necessary FFL transfer from brother in law to me. Here is the final build. I hope to have some better pictures soon.
