Rear is factory but i made them into a white dot by "drilling" & fillin with nail polish- The front i replaced with a green fiber optic (novak) - I did it myself- I too was unhappy with the factory, just had a hard time seeing them

Ahh... I love my my 1911 but that's the one thing I regret about it. I hate the sights. I wish I had paid more attention to that... Oh well this might be an excuse to get another 1911 just hope my wife buys the excuse lol

Just change out the sights
Of course if the wife will still allow you to live buy another

I'll add my jaded opinion here.

I havent heard much about RIA untill this forum. I do know the name and have heard rock island is a good company. What makes that the brand you trust for 1911
