AZL, I love your attitude. I'm also in Pinal county, work at a range in Maricopa county so I see them all, including the ones that should just throw rocks.

That is about number eleventy billion on the list of things you need to worry about. The 9mm doesn't beat a frame (neither does a 45 for that matter). A hot rodded 'Super might...MIGHT...but the 1911 frame will take all the rounds you want to send down the pipe. ESPECIALLY 115gr ball practice ammo.
