1911 9mm mags
I was wondering if anybody knows of magazines that work good in a STI Escort. And yes I said 9mm 1911 :)

The .38Super will work for the 9mm, but the 9mm does not work for the .38Super.
You could check: http://www.brownells.com/magazines/handgun-magazines/magazines/1911-auto-elite-tactical-magazine-prod24513.aspx?avs|Cartridge_1=APP_9 mm Luger |
Isn't that a "Officer" sized 1911?
Colt or WC should be good- |
It's a 3in barrel

Need mags for a Colt Officer - Still suggest Colt or Wilson Combat |
The mag that I got with it is weird shaped in the front instead of just round like normal mags. Thanks for all inputs.

Okay thanks. I've found STI mags but they want like $50 something. Seems bit expensive so wanted to get a couple extra mags.

STI mags should be okay.
A lesson I learned on mags for my .45: Store "A" had a bunch of mags for sale. The .45 mags went for under $10 a piece. I bought 10. By the time that I sorted out the good from the bad, cannibalized a couple, I had one good mag that was dependable. Spent a little under $100 for one stinking mag. My money would have been better spent on a couple of mags costing $35 each. The mag is the critical part of any semi-auto. If it breaks, your firearm is a single shot (at best). Don't scrimp on the mag. Buy the quality and piece-of-mind. It is well worth it. (I've spent over $75 for one mag for my H&K PSP P7) |
