Several years ago, during the hi-cap ban, I worked at a shooting range.
The range somehow got ahold of hi-cap,supposedly pre-ban,PRO Mags !
At first they sold VERY well, due to the impossibility of getting hi-caps.
After a short while, the range, was forced to return most of the monies that
customers had paid---because the Pro-Mags did not function well at all.
I'd estimate that about 90% of the Pro-Mags were returned due to malfunctions.
You are very correct about them being CHEAP. They were extremely "tinny" then
--and apparently have not changed much !
My nod would be to something like the Mec-Gar magazine...they are usually
less expensive ,than factory, but function very, very well. Check them out on
the web ........Dillinger is on the money about Mec-Gar being quality stuff !
BTW--these mags. were not 1911 mags but a Pro Mag is a Pro Mag !
