The Glock is reliable but they just dont fit my hand well. I had a G19, G23 and a G36. The G36 fit the best but that hump in the back of the grip is literally a pain. I traded my G19 on a Ruger SR9c after I traded the G23 for an SR9c for my wife. Really disliked that G23. I traded the G36 for a CZ P07. Now this is a target from my XD45c.

Therewolf just can't get over the fact that Glocks don't have an external manual safety. Those darn Glocks will just go off by themselves and give the owner "Glock Leg." Sigh.

I have a soft spot for Glocks because my first issued pistol was a G19. That thing never failed and took major abuse. I expanded my Glock collection and now own 4 different Glocks; all of them tough as nails and reliable.

I also own Sigs (226 and 229), 1911s, and an Hk (USPc) equally as reliable, accurate and durable.

Someone else on this forum put it best when they said Glocks are the Toyota Camry of the gun world. Cheap, reliable and durable. Just like a Camry will get you from point A to point B efficiently and without flair, a Glock will send bullets down range in the same efficient and low key manner.

Their popularity is no doubt bolstered by their low price point ( especially with a LEO discount), ease of breakdown, availability of accessories, large magazine capacity and their low maintenance needs. They just work.

Are they my favorite pistol? No, but they're one of my favorites. They're a solid choice for a go-to gun,
just like my Sigs and HK.

You actually think in a real-world firefight a .357 revolver is a good choice?

As Bugs Bunny would say, "What a marooon!"
Damn I must have been a maroon!!!!!

I've discharged a weapon in SD situations. Didn't feel outgunned with a revolver.

How many "real firefights as a NON LEO citizen "firefights" have you been in? Is this Gecko45?!?!?!?! Got the wife waiting outside the mall door with your two Glocks ready to rock??
Maybe you're in Compton? werd yo..I just playin playa..iiiieeeeeT?

Depends on who has which one! If you can reload quick which you probably have been trained. Then I would say this is a dumb argument. No gun forum can go without the argument of revolvers and semi autos! Who cares to each is own. You may be happy with .22 semi auto we may want a .480 tracker who cares.

I think we can all agree that a high cap semi auto is preferable while screaming like a child and blindly firing while running for cover.

I like glocks. The fact that everyone hates on them makes me like glocks more.

We will not solve this problem or difference of opinion in this thread. We must have hundreds more in the coming months.
I hope that each thread is exactly the same, that way we know exactly where we stand on the issue.

Here is mine.
Glock doesn't fit my hand, 1911 does, Glock Trigger is not to my liking, 1911 is.

In the future, I will refer to this as "Standard Post Text Number 1911"
