You guys sound like a bunch of whining liberals. "They don't like my glock, let's label them haters".

I have been around guns more than fifty years. Always active in the shooting community. NRA, gun dealer, blah blah blah.

First Glock was over twenty years ago, G21. Switched to get more rounds and hotter loads, G20. Carried that gun as a sidearm 20 years. Shop counter gun, that and a 12 ga shotgun.

No other gun, that I have ever seen, takes abuse, too much oil, not enough oil, dirty, too clean, any mag you put in it, any ammo you put in it. Lightweight, dependable, high capacity, no issues.

Purchased a new Glock the other day, a forgotten in inventory 2010 G20sf gen 3. Still had the copper rail grease, and not a scratch on it. Sealed owners manual, warranty card. Gun and accessories with five 15 round mags, $550.

Did I need another G20 ? My twenty year old one still looks like new. Dealer offered me $450 for it, and I passed. I gave less than that for it twenty years ago.

You find another gun, that works as good, holds its value at over 100%, does not scratch, wear or rust, and let me know what you find. I tell you what you will find, nothing.

Glock is a reliable pistol although I've had a few I've shot that were just damn not feeding and ejecting properly. Could have been the dirty mess in the barrel. But one was clean and was frequent FTE. I can say I've had the glock 17 gen 4 with no hiccup. Not to say I don't love a glock, every gun is prone to problems at some point.

Can't we all agree that Glocks are cool and all, but they are no better than the M&P, XDm, CZ, Sig Sauer, etc?? They might be better for you, but that does not make them superior.

This is some funny stuff! I should be able to get it from both directions. I picked up a Glock 17 for several reasons: reputation for reliability, ease of take down, it fit my hand perfect, great treatment on the metal and the price was right. Bought a Ruger and sold the Glock (only need one carry gun and the Glock was just too big). Do I like my Ruger... yes, did I like my Glock... yes. There are somethings I liked better about the Glock and there are things I like better about the Ruger. Am I a "fanboy" of anything? Yes, I really like women best! If you haven't tried one, you should they are all the rage!

You have all the info you need but some how you just ignore it. Crappy ergonomics, crappy trigger and butt ugly. You guys are so impressed because it goes bang when you pull the trigger. Every gun I own does that, it's what they are supposed to do.

It's always funny when someone starts a thread about GLOCKs or 1911s that you ALWAYS have some idiot with a stupid a$$ comment. Another thing is that idiot usually doesn't read the comment they are responding about or title of the thread!! You do know everybody likes different things!! Is that what guns are supposed to do?? :::roll eyes:::
