When will my extractor wear out?

I've got a few thousand rounds through my glock now. When should I look at replacing my extractor and possibly a new barrel?

I have 60M thru my Colt Gov. with a stainless Barstow barrel. No barrel problems and no extraction problems. Keep in mind though, it's not a Glock, so maybe you can put 2 or three more down the pipe.:):p:)

Hah! Possibly, the only reason I bring it up is after my last trip to the range when I was cleaning it I noticed the extractor was looking a little ate up and I had my first FTE. While not a big deal in itself I'm wondering if its starting to go. The rifling in the barrel is still there, but not very crisp

This is one of many reasons Dlocks suck. They don't have the staying power of say......a sig nightmare or colt gcsm;)

When I'm older, and have money, I'm sure I will own colts and sigs.
For right now I'm young and broke and I have a glock.

I'm young and broke and I still own two nightmares, two gcsm cuatoms, and several other sigs/colts. Then again I do have the unfair advantage of being a gunsmith w good connections. As to when you should change them things-usually bout every 10,000 rounds.
