I see police trade ins in the PNW going for the same $350.00

Amazes me that folks pay that much for slick marketing but... To each his own.

I have seen used Glocks go from $200 to crazy money. It depends on the condition of the gun and the reputation of the owner. I would not pay over $350 for a used Glock unless there are extras like magazines and ammo. When you buy a new gun you get a warranty and customer support in case you have technical issues. I steer clear of any gun that is in new condition. The chances are to high that the owner wants to ditch the gun because it is a lemon. There are always exceptions and your mileage may vary.

If you look around you can find police trade in Glock pistols at good prices with night sights. The last police trade in's I saw were gen3 with night sights for $350.

A Gen 1 G19 is a true collectors item. Only a few Gen1 G19 Glock pistols were produced at the end of Gen1 production. All other Glock pistols are just shooters. Thanks for the G19 Gaston!

Thanks for the opinions so far, found out it is a Gen 3 LE trade-in used for annual certifications (not an officer's carry piece). It has night sights, two 17 rd mags, and a 30 rd mag. I know people talk about getting these used for pretty cheap (To me this is in the $350 range), what I'm selling (I'd rather not say) is worth about $450-550. So does this sound like an even trade, good trade, bad trade? I can always just hold out and sell what I have and just buy one if it's truly more economical (If I had my choice I'd probably buy a G19 or a G23). I'm not in real need of another HG realistically (I bought my SR1911 for eventual CCW), but since I didn't buy a Glock before I still think they're great and would like to have one. Being a second HG, I guess I could always primarily use this for range time and home defense though I was thinking of some sort of revolver for that purpose. Probably a 357 with .38 special rounds most likely, although I should a 44 mag a few weeks ago - that was damn fun, wouldn't mind one of those with .44 special loads.

Sorry to sorta go off-topic here, I know this is the Glock subforum so I'm sure you guys prefer the Glocks or at least enjoy them the most. A good buddy of mine at the range always rips on the "plastic **** guns" for not being real steel and so on (I'm sure you guys have heard the gamut of stupid insults around these which are unfounded). Maybe I'm weird but even though I have a 1911, I still think Glocks look good. Something about the pure utilitarian design and the dependability, I kinda dig the HK USP 45 but they're expensive and personally I think the Glock's simple looks are great. Are there any cool conversions like for the G17 that only it can do?

If it's a Gen 3,I wouldn't pay more than $500.I've seen them sell on GB for under $500.

What you're selling is worth $450-550 and you'd rather not say...hmmm lol. If you're in Colorado or Washington state I'd just tell him to sell the gun to a lgs and go to a dispensary. Kidding kidding!

lol nah, it's nothing illegal - I'd just rather not say in case he stumbles on this thread from Google. Funny enough I mentioned something like this one time on another forum and the guy who was selling the item commented on the thread and then got defensive of the pricing offers people put out, and it just was a mess.

Haha Buttholeville is a Drive by Truckers song. The only Glocks I have bought were police trade ins which used to go for $300-$350. I haven't looked at them in the past year or two.
