As far as being reliable and accurate. I agree with you. But for what I need a gun for they suck. Unsupported chamber that extremely limits the life of your brass. And not being able to shoot hard cast bullets are the major issues I have with the gun. The slide stop/release is to flush. A super soaker has better trigger in my opinion. The recoil spring and guide rod could be less flimsy.
Although there are many aftermarket parts out there to correct most of these problems they safe not my cup of tea. Who wont's to spend $600 on a gun and another $400-$500 to make it work the way you need it to?
Plus I like my guns to be easily adaptable to others. Example: if SHTF and I gave my glock to a buddy he might not be able to shoot it very well. Due to the angle of the grip it may take some practice to git it right. This may not be an option at that time.
And for the record I do have a G23 gen4 and yes I can shoot good with it. It's just not my taste. Plus it's ugly.
