Default thinking of buying the G23

I'm thinking if buying the glock 23. I had one for a while but had to return it to my friend should I go for the sub compact G23 or should I go for the full size glock I'm still trying to stay with 40 thou

Slick,

Full Size Glock 22 40 Cal.
Compact Glock 23 40 Cal.
Sub Compact Glock 27 40 Cal

Either of the above would be an excellent choice. The main thing is what do you want to do with it. I have a 22 for target shooting now and bed stand gun. It was my issue pistol on the agency before I retired and I received it at my retirement. I carried the 27 as back up back then due to it was easier to conceal. I still carry it today (Model 27) as CCW when cooler weather sets in. Since I do not like my little finger hanging on the edge or below the grip I put an extended mag plate on it which also increased the capacity on the 27 by an additional round. As stated all are fine pistols it is just what your application is for it.

If you are looking to go for a sub-compact Glock in 40 S&W, it would most likely be the Glock 27.

If you plan on Concealing it, the 23 is a nice compromise. Getcher CCW and enjoy

I'm not trying to conceal it just to have at my house and go to the range something small to have in my pocket while I'm at home. Cause I have a Smith and Wesson mod 4043. 40 cal its a standard issue cop gun and I love that gun just want to make a collection of all varieties

23 is a good choice. Might be my favorite handgun.

I have both the G22 and G23. Happy with both but the 23 is much handier and since it does take the full size mags you can have your cake and eat it too.
